Gerald Bowers is a self-taught photographer who specializes in travel, landscape and nature photography. He has used the 35mm format exclusively, beginning with the Nikon F2-S and F2-AS film cameras in the 1970s, and then switching to digital about ten years ago. Originally, not a photographer by profession, he has had successful careers in information systems and accounting with photography being a hobby for travel and other activities during that time. Then, in 2008, Gerald retired to devote full time to his photographic efforts. His body of work is a reflection of his travels over the past forty-five years. Gerald currently resides in Seattle, Washington, and travels extensively throughout the year to capture nature's art in a photograph.
